Rescue Christmas For Those In Need

With more families facing hardship this year, the need to serve those most vulnerable is greater that ever before. To help meet the increased need this year, we are making it safer and simpler for people to donate funds and toys to The Salvation Army Kroc Center Hawaii.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Traditionally, The Salvation Army would have many Kettle sites throughout our community. With less sites due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in-person Kettle collection will be severely limited while the need has never been greater.

You can help us Rescue Christmas for struggling families in West Oahu by getting involved. 100% of your donations stay in our West Oahu community.

VOLUNTEER TO RING THE BELL

Your help is needed more than ever this year! Join The Salvation Army's efforts to be a source of hope for those in need this holiday season. Volunteer your time to ring the bell at one of our in-person Red Kettle locations.

To apply, please send an email and the Kettle Team will be in contact with you to coordinate.

KETTLE LOCATIONS

In-person giving at a Red Kettle is welcome and appreciated. For your safety and that of our staff and volunteers, Kettle workers are required to wear a face mask and gloves during their shift.

Red Kettles can be found at the following locations:

November 13–December 24

  • Don Quijote (Pearl City, Waipahu)
  • Tamura's Wahiawa
  • Times Supermarket* (Aiea, Mililani, Royal Kunia, Waimalu, Waipahu)

*Counter kettles located at the registers

November 21–December 24

  • Walmart (Kapolei, Mililani, Pearl City. Royal Kunia)

HOST A VIRTUAL KETTLE

Create your own online kettle, set a goal and reach out to your family and friends to help fundraise for your kettle. You can also challenge them to create their own online kettle for some friendly competition while doing the most good.

ANGEL TREE

Our Angel Tree program offers donors an opportunity to bless a keiki or kupuna who would otherwise go without on Christmas morning. This year, you can participate in-person or virtually. Here's how you can get involved and be an angel for a keiki or kupuna this holiday season.

In-Person Angel Tree:

  1. From November 1, find an Angel Tree at Walmart (Kapolei, Kunia, Mililani or Pearl City).
  2. Select a Wish Tag and purchase the suggested gift noted on the tag.
  3. Return new, unwrapped gift along with the Wish Tag to Walmart by December 19.

Walmart Online Gift Registry:

Provide a gift to a keiki or kupuna from the comfort and safety of your own home through our online Walmart gift registry.
